Inkwell 0.3
A small Markdown reader for the Mac.

Inkwell opens any Markdown (.md) file and shows it rendered. Fix a word, then
copy it formatted into Slack, Mail, or Word, or export it as PDF, Word, or HTML.

Needs macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

INSTALL

1. Drag Inkwell.app into your Applications folder.

2. Open it once by hand. Inkwell isn't notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks a
plain double-click the first time. Either:
   - Right-click Inkwell.app, choose Open, then click Open in the dialog, or
   - Double-click it, then go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll
to the message about Inkwell, and click Open Anyway.

You only need to do this once.

MAKE IT THE DEFAULT FOR .md FILES (optional)

In Finder, select any .md file and choose File > Get Info (Cmd+I). Under
"Open with", pick Inkwell, then click Change All.

GETTING STARTED

- Double-click a .md file, or use File > Open (Cmd+O).
- File > New from Clipboard (Cmd+Shift+N) opens whatever Markdown you just
copied, for example a chat assistant's answer.
- Cmd+E switches between the rendered view and the raw Markdown.
- Cmd+C copies formatted text that pastes cleanly into Slack, Mail, and Word.
- View > Page Width and View > Appearance set the column width and light or
  dark mode.

Help > Inkwell Help (Cmd+?) has the full guide and every keyboard shortcut.
